SUNDAYS AT 4PM | PEACE OF CHRIST FELLOWSHIP HALL


Join us Sunday afternoons for a slow, meditative practice of prayerful movement and deeper connection to God. All are welcomed to join and accommodations will be made for all skill levels. Classes will be 75 minutes in length. Bring a yoga mat if you have one (we have some to share, if not), but all other supplies will be provided. This is a free class, but donations are encouraged and will go toward supporting local causes.

A FEW MORE THOUGHTS...

As a church, we've been increasingly interested in the complete, holistic formation of our bodies, minds, and spirits, so weekly yoga would offer our church family an opportunity to be worshipful and reflective in a non-traditional, full-bodied way. 


While this will still be a yoga class all the traditional senses, we also hope for this weekly class to be a time of deep connection and spiritual growth. We are trusting that as we make space in our minds, hearts, and schedules, that these classes will be transformative in every sense -- bodily, mindfully, soulfully, and communally.

SARAH HALE

INSTRUCTOR

Sarah has been using the ancient practice of yoga as part of her faith journey for many years. She has found that yoga is a wonderful way to cultivate a holistic experience of God, in which the physical body, including the nervous system, is brought into worship. Sarah’s yoga classes are 75 minutes long, and are designed to be accessible to all. The first half is slow flow, and the second half is yin yoga. In yin, each pose is held for a few minutes, allowing for deeper awareness and physical benefits. Sarah earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher’s Certificate in 2023.
